The Japan Swiss Society was founded in April,1955.
The primary purpose of this Society is the cultivation of mutual friendship
and exchange of culture between the peoples of Japan and Switzerland.
Today, the Japan Swiss Society is comprised of a large number of
individual members and corporate members of both nationalities,
who through their active participation have promoted the Society into a
leading member of the international community in Japan.
Its independent counterpart operates under the name of The Swiss Japan Society in Switzerland.

Each year the Japan Swiss Society sponsors a number of projects of a
Swiss cultural nature, such as libraries, exhibition, concerts, film
festivals, publications and lectures. Furthermore, events are organized
for its members in the form parties, an annual ball, concert visits, sports
tournaments, discussion circles, film showings and family outings. The
Japan Swiss Society is guided by a Board of Directors made up equally
of Japanese and Swiss members.

We believe that there are many Japanese and Swiss citizens who are
interested in keeping in close contact with Switzerland, and who want to
join and support the Japan Swiss Society. The Secretariat will be pleased
to receive your application. Please complete the application form below
and send it together with the annual membership fee of 4,000 Yen for an
individual membership and 5,000 for a couple or 30,000-Yen for a
corporate member.
